Wi Fi Calling no longer works as of 5th June 2025

Hello John,

The way I’d approach the issue is by eliminating the likely causes one by one.

A simple question to start:
Before the iPhone 15, did you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and working Wi-Fi calling?
Presumably this isn’t your first phone.

• If Wi-Fi calling was working on your previous phone, then the issue is likely within the settings on the iPhone 15.

• If your previous phone was also an iPhone and on Smarty, try this:
  Sit both phones side by side, and go into Settings > Mobile Service on each.
  Compare them — make sure Wi-Fi Calling is enabled and Mobile Data is set up correctly on the new device.

Let us know what you find — it helps narrow things down quickly.

Has anyone got their WiFi calling working? I have rebooted router and iPhone several times, toggled WiFi calling on phone. I have 64.2 network setting. It worked last week temporarily but I notice it’s gone again (zero phone signal here)

Ok gang here is the solution I love a problem that no one can resolve. Worked it out on my own. First off this is iPhone only, same idea would apply to Android phones.  (android users please add)  I went to settings / general/about- then your prompt to update "Network Provider Settings Update" proceed to update. Once done turn off phone restart. I switched off wifi and tried to gain a signal with smarty. No signal here. Went outside got one and came back in turned on wifi. Tested wifi calling all works now. Job done.

If you've not picked up the 64.2 carrier update automatically, try checking in your Settings, General, About and you can also manually check for the update. Please let us know if you're still experiencing any issues with your Wi-Fi calling.

I appreciate everyone's feedback around this issue. I'll be sharing this to the relevant teams."

I unable to respond of course as Three which is also Smarty does not allow myself to reg with them. Goal here find a fix. Day 6 tomorrow, no wifi calling ! feels like the nineties. Siri call this number, sorry unable to find a good connection. Siri what to do. Go outside walk around until you find a good connection. Really maybe landline is the best option here. Unless you wish to be left in peace. Let's hope I do not need to call emergency services.  Someone must have the solution or reasons why what worked now does not.

8th June 2025 Three mobile user reports

I have two Phone a Iphone 16 and Iphone 15 both running IOS 18.5. The Iphone 16 has stopped wifi calling. I have done all the normal resets, reboots, and even reloaded a new esim into the phone, but still no Wifi Calling. If I put them both into airplane mode the 15 has wifi calling the 16 does not. both have wifi calling turned on in the esim settings.

I have contacted support and they say it must be the phone, contacted Apple and they say its Three

I need Wifi calling as the phone signal is 1 bar or nothing most of the time. 

Any ideas would be appreciated "

Mobile Three - (smarty uses same masks etc) here is a Three users experiences note at the end EE works.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro. I do not get mobile network connection in my home and rely on wifi calling.

I use BT broadband. I have a wireless router.

I have had the same setup for two years and had no problems until now.

Since this morning, I have been unable to make any wifi calls. I can still use facetime, iMessage, safari and social media apps. It is only wifi calling that is not working.

I have checked all settings are enabled for wifi calling on my phone, I have tried toggling wifi off/on I have also toggled mobile data & airplane mode off/on. I have tried turning my phone off/on. I have reset network settings and disconnected/reconnected to my wireless router. I have also checked my router speeds which are normal - as I’ve mentioned above I have still been able to use the internet as normal on my phone. I have also walked away from my house to attempt making a call using only mobile network and it works.

Despite this, wifi calling is still not working. I cannot receive or make any phone calls.

I work once a week on call - I need to resolve this ASAP.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

EDIT - to add, my partner is on EE network, also does not get mobile network signal in our home but has no issue with making wifi calls so I do not believe it is any issue with our internet connection.

Was there a fix for the wi fi calling ? having same issues here.

Still no joy. Off to seek alternative solution.
