Re: "archive.org" is blocked. Why?
Hi everyone, I couldn’t access archive.org at first, but it turned out to be blocked by the adult content filter. Once I switched that off, full access worked fine. There was a small glitch in the software that stopped me from turning it off myself, so I contacted SMARTY support — they were really helpful and made the change remotely. I had the same problem with Wi-Fi Calling a while back — turns out the fix was simple. On iPhone, go to Settings → General → About, and you should get a prompt for a Network Provider Settings Update. Do the update, restart your phone, and Wi-Fi Calling should come back straight away. Also, just a heads-up — switching to Vodafone won’t really take you far. Hello John, The way I’d approach the issue is by eliminating the likely causes one by one. A simple question to start: Before the iPhone 15, did you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and working Wi-Fi calling? Presumably this isn’t your first phone. If Wi-Fi calling was working on your previous phone, then the issue is likely within the settings on the iPhone 15. If your previous phone was also an iPhone and on Smarty, try this: Sit both phones side by side, and go into Settings > Mobile Service on each. Compare them — make sure Wi-Fi Calling is enabled and Mobile Data is set up correctly on the new device. Does anyone know how to make contact with Smarty other than chat box? Day 4 of plenty of signal. However not able to make calls or maintain data signal. I have looked at my postcode area. “We're working on the network in this area at the moment. We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing. Hi gang, my wifi calling stopped working in our home. Since approx 5th of June 2025. (I been using wifi calling past 5 months from home with Smarty no issues) I have chatted with Smarty team, the experience was ok actually worked for me. They replied with "To summarise, we’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps and updated the APN settings. Unfortunately, this hasn’t resolved the issue. Therefore, I’ve raised a case on your behalf for further investigation." I then called a friend who has no reception in their home, has a Smarty sim, he tried WiFi calling. Guess what he said it's not working it did before. Is there a theme here ? The only change recently is this 31st May Three UK recently merged with Vodafone UK, forming a new company called VodafoneThree. This merger was completed on May 31, 2025, according to Vodafone. Here is the solution for the issue no wiFi calling as of 11th June 2025 IOS only, same idea would apply to Android phones. (android users please add) I went to settings / general/about- then your prompt to update "Network Provider Settings Update" proceed to update. Once done turn off phone restart.
