Re: Buffering
The_ASH I think that you may be about right. Smarty customers will probably do worse than Three customers when it comes to a chunk of the "data pie". For many of us, the service does provide what we need i.e. a good signal for calls and texts and a bit of data when out and about - particularly those who use a fixed broadband line at home/work. For those who need more, I can see that it may be a problem.23Views1like2CommentsRe: SIM card, I ordered a new data sim over a week ago, it hasn't arrived and I haven't had notice thit'
GeorgeS_2340013 We are not Smarty staff - we cannot access your account and so know nothing about your sim. The fact that you have not activated it doesn't automatically mean that you did not receive it. Have you asked Amazon why they couldn't deliver it?9Views0likes0CommentsRe: Regret getting Smarty..
COLLINP_129 Just stating what may be obvious......Do you definitely have the esim on within phone settings? Have you checked Coverage and Network Status for your area? Have you used a network speed test to check? (e.g.something like fast.com or speedtest.net)2Views0likes0CommentsRe: Jane
JanePil_2654861 As we are customers here and not Smarty staff, we won't be abletocheck your account I'm afraid. Try a web chat with Smarty Support. It may be that you need to just activate one of them while logged into your account if you have never had an active sim before.2Views0likes0CommentsRe: No signal - terrible experience
Christi_3335729 While I do understand that it is disappointnig not to be able to get a good signal, I'm not sure how Smarty would be able to tell any potential customer whether they will definitely get a good signal. It may be that you are shielded by a building between your home and the mast but Smarty couldn't know that. It might be that you use your phone mainly away from home and again they couldn't know that. The plus point is that, if you are affected by this problem, you are not trapped in a long contract and can get a better network for your area (assuming there is one) at any time and get a PAC code to port across. For some people in rural areas, they can never get a good network - I appreciate that you are not one of those. The agents will work to a script and I'm not sure what other options they have really as the signal isn't directly from Smarty.15Views0likes1CommentRe: 3 sims 1 account (data only for dash cam)
N111KJS Easiest way is to have a Group with your main Sim as the Group Owner. You can then have more 'nickname' sims in the group and they are under the control of the Owner. You get discounts within the Group as well. https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/5723752-what-is-a-nickname-sim6Views0likes0CommentsRe: Unlimited Date/New Sim
PeterBa_1412070 I would recommend checking your Account Dashboard first. Does the sim show as Active still? I am wondering whether you did not buy a plan for such a long time that it was deactivated; they normally send a warning email at 180 days giving you another 40 days notice. If the sim isn't showing any more, you will need a new one as the number will have been recycled.8Views0likes0CommentsRe: Out of plan add on
BERNICE_2327615 Why are you going round in circles? Smarty Price Guide: https://cdn.smarty.co.uk/files/SMARTY-Price-Guide.pdf Pages 18 & 19. Morocco is in Band 2 for Roaming Charges. Data for Band 2 is charged at 25pence per Megabyte - £256 per Gigabyte (A Gigabyte is 1024 Megabytes) To answer your question, £10 will give 40 Megabytes which really is not much if you need data. (You can check your Smarty Data Usage in the app or on the Account Dashboard on website to see what you normally use) The International Roaming products like Holafly, Roamless, Airalo, Sail etc (and more) are usually very much cheaper.......simples!!!4Views0likes0Comments
