There’s a scam going around with callers claiming they’re with a specific provider (In my case they claim Vodafone) & that they can offer me a discount on my costs (this discount is usually but not always 40%), when I say I’m not with Vodafone they disconnect. Should this offer be accepted they’ll ask for account details, then order expensive devices on the account. Once the devices have been received they then call back & claim the devices are a mistake & to either return them to an address they specify or that a courier will call to collect them, should this happen then the scammers have the devices & the customer most likely be liable for the cost.837Views1like0CommentsRe: Why does my sim card show no number it states unknown
Afaik iPads don’t have calling option (yet) so wouldn’t show a number & if it does it’s for billing purposes only. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255485062?sortBy=rank If you insert it into a phone does the number then show? The SIM will come with a new number which you can use until the number transfer is complete - you should receive an email &/or text to confirm this - once complete you should ensure the correct number is shown, it’ll either show automatically, require manually entering or reset the phone’s network settings may be required to pick up the correct number.579Views0likes0Comments
