It would be nice if loyal customers got the same offers as new customers. I saw the latest 32GB for £7 but not available to me as a loyal customer who's been with Smarty for several years.

RCS is the modern version of SMS served over data/wifi. It improves security and allows you to group chat, send pictures/videos/voice notes for free without incurring MMS charges or having to use third-party apps like Facebook or Whatsapp. It has been the standard on Android for many years, but Apple recently launched support for it in iOS 18 last year. Due to the differences in how Apple and Google support RCS, iPhones require that carriers 'handle' the RCS protocol directly. Whereas on Android, Google handles the RCS chats for you. This means that Android users on UK carriers have enjoyed RCS for years, but UK carriers must do some work to support RCS on iOS. Three UK promptly supported RCS on iOS in December 2024. This means Three customers on iOS devices can use and enjoy the benefits of RCS. Smarty has yet to enable support for RCS on iOS, as of 18th February 2025. Someone did say in the forums that Smarty was actively investigating this in December, but we have not had any update since. Other UK carriers have swiftly done the work to enable RCS for iOS users, but there hasn't been an update on this from Smarty yet. I would really like some official acknowledging that this is coming soon, and ideally some realistic timescales to manage expectations. This is quite an important feature for me because I moved my elderly mother over to Smarty to save costs, but she routinely sends me (an Android user) images or videos over MMS which incurs charges. I am giving Smarty another 4-6 weeks to acknowledge and confirm that proper RCS support is coming soon, or I'll be moving my mother to another carrier. I can imagine there's quite a few customers in a similar situation.

How about offering additional Connectivity Plans that allow us to share our SMARTY airtime and data allowances with our smartwatch or eSIM-enabled tablets?

All other major networks and some MVNO's have visual voicemail. For the iphone base, it's very easy as it's a one size fits all sort of thing. After being with Vodafone for 2 years, the idea of going back to a standard voicemail seems so so silly. Being able to label, listen and share voice messages is a must have!

Come on SMARTY, you've been claiming to be working on implementing it for over 12 months yet still nothing...

Just been with Smarty for 1 month from Voxi. Though I can't complain about the 5G coverage. I'm surprised I am unable to reply to a short code from my GP nor do I get visual voicemail. It's 2024 hardly new technology. I feel I will need to go back to Voxi once my contact nesrly is up which is a shame as I like the network coverage, but if I cannot submit readings to my GP (which I could do with VOXI) then its not a safe network for me.

It is great we can roam in Europe for no extra cost subject to fair use. I would like the option for a similar option when visiting other countries too. For example, in the summer I am going to Turkey for the first time. As an example, I will end up paying, say, £15 for a Lyca Mobile sim for a month to have 15Gb data rather than risk clocking up a big bill for not a lot of data with Smarty. Wouldn't it be great if we could pay the £15 to Smarty and be able to use our allowance subject to the same limits as in the EU?

Having the 12GB available to roam in the EU is fantastic, however it would be better and Smarty would be become a market leader if the ability to use the full amount you have on the tariff selected were available.

Just a thought, given the number of times the question of accessing adult content appears on this forum each week, how about a name change from Smarty Mobile to “Spunky Mobile” 😗

If you have multiple family sims with a monthly data allowance in a group plan, some sims may run out of data while on other sims, there is remaining data. Please allow group data allowance to be shared / transferred / pooled. An enquiry has been made about this at least once before: https://community.smarty.co.uk/t5/chats-hacks/can-group-data-be-shared/m-p/3728

In addition to : Smarty Labs Welcome Chats and Hacks FAQ Off Topic it needs a new section entitled “HOW TO SET UP YOUR DEVICE FOR USE OVERSEAS” I know it’s in the FAQ, but the repeated posts re this, show that people aren’t reading the FAQ

Greetings, I have spotted a Three phase8 monopole site outside Westcott innovation centre (near Aylesbury) with the paint pealing off. This got me thinking, maybe we could get some of the three poles painted in interest colours/styles related to the local community. Or simply a way to report this to Three so it can get a repaint, maybe is Green to match the trees or Blue to match the sky.

Just a few thoughts to hopefully avoid disappointment from new customers : 1, Make it clear that Smarty runs on 3, advising people that if they haven’t already, they need to check the coverage of 3 where they live, work and socialise. People are attracted by Smarty’s “lemonade prices” but expect a “champagne service” when some people have poor or non existent coverage on 3. 2, Make it clear that Smarty is a mobile phone service, and should not be used as a long term replacement for home or business broadband, as pointed out in section 5 of the Smarty terms and conditions. 3, Make it crystal clear that to use Smarty abroad, the APN in people’s devices must be changed to “mob.asm.net”

Many apps are now supporting Androids new feature that was introduced in Android 13 called Themed Icons. This is part of Androids 'Material You' and when turned on in the system settings allows the supported app icon (adaptive icon) to match the colour of the currently displayed wallpaper. Most of the apps on my phone have already implemented themed icons and look great. I'm hoping this is something Smarty could easily implement as it's just a vector graphic with a few specific monochrome layers and as the Smarty logo is designed with just 2 spot colours it already lends itself to being used as a themed icon.

I was with EE, when I received a voicemail, I would receive a text with the callers number. The text would show the name of the caller if they were in my contact list. Smarty just send a text with Smarty's voicemail number. Please could Smarty change the notification text to show the callers number. I know the voicemail headers include the number but this does not really help me identify the caller (or tap #).
