We are customers/Users just like you.
Just so you know, Smarty DO NOT have a customer hotline/phone number. There are only two ways to contact them.
The best point of contact is through Webchat, otherwise it's a case of sending an email.
You can get these details through the help articles created by Smarty.

@Patrick_2828759 We are members like you and so do not know the specific answer. however, if you do a Network Status check, it suggests that your local mast is often congested. This may in turn be linked to recent turn off of 3G signal.
Also, are you sure that your phone is compatible now?

Thanks. Yeah, I had done that but was waiting for ages. Eventually got a response after around an hour! I guess something they need to work on.

Perhaps with the recent 3G network switch-off, affecting large parts of the Midlands, maybe SMARTY web chat is much busier than 'normal'.

@JeetenC_2689690 A network like smarty keeps the prices down by not having to pay for a team of customer service people on phones. Web chat is cheaper and quicker and that reflects in the price you pay.
If a phone line to customer service is important to you, then you willed to go with a more expensive network provider unfortunately.

Then scroll down to "Start a conversation" - type "talk to a person" to begin a chat with an adviser.

@LynnCar_2446161 No, there isn't. If they cannot take payment from the source on your account dashboard, then your plan will not renew.
When you say 'overdue' - is the phone still working? Take a look at Account Dashboard to see if your plan is active.

How do I actually contact Smarty. I have very liwe el service. My download speeds seldom reach 5mbps but using the same phone 7n the same area with a GiffGaff SIM I get 30 to 50 Mbps. I have been trying we chat and the chat in the App to contact support without reply

Have to use the chat facility facility unfortunately I think it goes to India , some of the replies leave a bit of the desired strike that a lot to be desired we desired.

Hello @senojdh . You can only contact Smarty via web chat to 'speak' to someone.
Firstly, worth trying the network status checker for any local issues: https://smarty.co.uk/network-status-checker
Smarty runs on 3 network, while GiffGaff runs on O2 - this may account for the very different speeds you are getting.
It does seem that the Support team are busy these days and it can take quite a while to get a reply.
The other way to make contact is via a complaint: https://smarty.co.uk/complaints
Having said that, at present yours is not really a complaint as such and may be something that Smarty unfortunately cannot solve immediately.

Do you mean that you don't have a mobile signal? Did you check Network Status?
Is your phone compatible now that 3G may have been turned off where you are?
Do you see the problem here?

I HAVE PURCHASED SMARTY SIM CARD THIS AFTERNOON AND PAID £20 ONLINE TO ACTIVATE THE SIM AND STILL SAYING AWAITING NUMBER. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS TAKING SO LONG TO USE . THE £20 WAS ACCESSED FROM BANK ACCOUNT. I INPUT THE SIM NUMBER ON INITIAL REQUEST. PLEASE HELP.

@ManiMani They are, but they are also busy and so will not reply that quickly necessarily. It will also depend upon the nature of your query.
If you were not clear in what you wrote, that may also contribute to any delay in a reply.

Most unprofessional customer service from Indian agent, one issue needs to explain 100 times. Since Thursday morning 12 Sep 2024 I can't make or receive calls but data working properly and this little thing those agents don't want to listen/understand. Never trust to smarty agents, should be UK help line with UK customers services.

Agreed wasted two hours of my life last night for what is a simple request for a PUK CODE he kept insisting it was 0000 which it isn't.

Have you tried a network reset? On iPhone this is under Settings>General>Transfer or reset phone>Reset>Reset Network settings.
