Re: Contact number
Bashayr_1511077, Welcome to the Smartys Users Forum. We are customers/Users just like you. Just so you know, Smarty DO NOT have a customer hotline/phone number. There are only two ways to contact them. The best point of contact is through Webchat, otherwise it's a case of sending an email. You can get these details through the help articles created by Smarty.89KViews3likes12CommentsRe: Sim?
DavidSt_1507012, Are you using a different phone from your wife? Have you noticed any differences in the way they are set up? It might be worth going through Smartys set up guide for your types of phone (I'm guessing they're both Android phones) as well as your phones own manuals.2.3KViews1like1CommentRe: Holiday Majorca 1 week, are calls/data home free? Roam on/off?
AlisonW_2102840, You can search in the help articles for iPhones and their set-up. You can also search for the use of your phone when NOT in the UK. Generally if a phone with a UK SIM is in the UK, all calls and data use are as per your plan. When not in the UK, roaming charges usually apply.5.5KViews3likes0CommentsRe: Holiday Majorca 1 week, are calls/data home free? Roam on/off?
AlisonW_2102840, Roaming should be switched on. Make sure your APN is changed to mob.asm.net this will allow you to roam in Europe, and can be done once and won't need to be changed. Leave the APN as mob.asm.net as the phone will work in the UK as normal. Smarty allow data use of up to 12GB, but calls will be charged. To cover this you'll need to buy an add-on for European calls for any calls you make. You can use your data allowance to contact friends and family via WhatsApp, Facetime or similar apps. If you use data for a navigation app, remember they eat data quickly, soif you intend to use these apps, consider buying an European data add-on. Below is a copy of Smarty advice for roaming; Roaming fair use terms and call rates to the EU If you are roaming in the EU or calling the EU from the UK, here's some information to be aware of. Updated over a week ago Calling rates from UK to EU Rates for calling all EU destinations from the UK are charged at 19p per minute. Fair usage while roaming in the EU You can use 12GB of data with your base tariff each month while roaming in the EU. If you would like to use more than 12GB of data while in the EU, you can purchase a data add-on from your dashboard. We will send you an SMS when you are reaching your 12GB limit. Permanent roaming restrictions To ensure all customers can benefit from roaming at no extra cost in the EU, we have put in place fair use policies which include safeguards to prevent prolonged periods of roaming. We will monitor your usage, and if you spend 60 consecutive days abroad, we have the right to suspend all services on your account. This means that you will not be able to use your SIM. Roaming while in or outside the EU counts towards your consecutive use. We'll send you an alert two weeks before the suspension is applied. If you have extenuating circumstances (for example being stuck abroad for reasons beyond your control), you should contact us as soon as you possible to prevent your service being suspended. If you've had your services suspended and since returned to the UK, please contact us to let us know of the change in your location, and we'll unblock your services. Note: If your services are suspended and you have Auto-renew enabled, your plan will continue to renew automatically. To disable this, head to your payment settings Team SMARTY5.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: No service in my SIM

Charles_1925421, The best suggestion would be to contact Smarty via Webchat. They may be able to change the "group owner phone" for you. The only other way I can think of, is to stop the "group" and then form a new one, with the phone you want as the "group owner". This may mean you loose the 10% discount for a time.1.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: PAC
DerekLe_2266105, Just because the service at one place is great has no bearing on what the service/signais like anywhere else. To think so is like buying a secondhand car because its photograph in the advert is good, but having mo knowledge of what the car is actually like. But then it's your money, your decision. Let us know how you get on. It'll be a good laugh on you! 👍6KViews1like2CommentsRe: PAC
DerekLe_2266105, Smarty DO have a customer support, BUT it is web-based in order to keep costs down (including to us). If you wish to contact Smarty you'll need to start a Webchat. On another matter, you mention you "tested" the SIM while overseas. I seriously hope you are not expecting thrcoverage and service from Smarty to be the same. When overseas, the service/coverage is provided by other phone service providers that Smarty has teamed up with. If you want to know what the signal quality andcoverage is like, do it for where you live/work/socialise.6KViews2likes0Comments
