Hi - i successfully ported my number to Smarty today. Outgoing calls show my number correctly, but incoming calls go to Voicemail at the callers end.

All is working ok now. Think that the port was not fully complete even though Smarty email 5 hrs ago said it was.

@Marmalade Perhaps worth trying a Network Reset on your phone first to ensure that yowling to the Smarty Network correctly.
If it persists, web chat with Smarty Support so that they can check for any problems in the port e.g. split port.

I have now restarted the phone and checked Call Forwarding is set to None. The Voicemail that the caller hears is from their network not Smarty. Incoming texts are also failing.

@Marmalade That's why I mentioned the possibility of a split port. You need to web chat with Smarty Support for them to investigate.

That's difficult to say. I tried from a Giffgaff phone but that was also my previous provider. That was the only phone I had
