Re: Voicemail Greeting
MSF Because then the greeting that gets played to callers would be along the lines of: "Leave a message please... is not available. Please leave a message..." And when one user of Three's voicemail system leaves a message for another, it will say to the person listening to the message: "Message received from... leave a message please..." I have to agree with most people on this thread - it's always been silly that Three's voicemail system doesn't just let you skip recording a name. Not quite as bad but still pretty dumb is EE's voicemail system, which doesn't force you to record a name, but if you then choose to, provides no way to later delete it.9.9KViews1like1CommentRe: Replacemnt for possible faulty SIM
DavidWi_3294396 I agree that it's unlikely you would have damaged the SIM while installing, but it's also unlikely you would have received a faulty SIM. I consider myself a mobile network geek, and have switched networks and swapped SIMs between devices many, many times over the years, and not once have I encountered a faulty SIM. Regarding you being aware of your phone's 4G and 5G capabilities, I'm sure you are, but you may be less aware that if your phone doesn't have the specific configuration necessary to work with Smarty's VoLTE, it may still struggle to make and receive calls, despite it supporting VoLTE in general. Hence me providing the link I did.1.2KViews1like0CommentsRe: Replacemnt for possible faulty SIM
DavidWi_3294396 If the SIM is working for other things (e.g. data) but not calls, it's highly unlikely the SIM is faulty. What's more likely is that your phone is not fully compatible with Smarty's 4G calling or there's a network issue in your area.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: 4g calling/volte on Smarty's blacklisted phone (Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact)
Ged_1388391 Nice job. To be clear, Smarty don't blacklist any particular models of phone, the issue is that particular models of phone don't have the relevent configuration details to work correctly with Smarty's VoLTE. What you have done is installed an OS that has that relevent configuration details (presumably alongside configuration details for many other networks) and you've set the phone to use that specific configuration. Well done again. And I completely understand you wanting to hold onto your small phone.. it'll be a sad day when I have to let my iPhone 12 Mini go! 👊1.4KViews0likes0Comments
