Roaming data usage

Hi. I'm trying to see how much data I've used while roaming abroad. The smarty app only seems to show total data used (while in UK and EU) . Can I isolate data used while roaming?

The Smarty app only shows the data usage of each day.

In theory, it should be very simple to differentiate between data usage in the UK and EU, unless of course you are travelling between the UK and EU on a daily basis. Even then, you can still obtain a ball park figure, by making notes of data usage.

Example :

If you are in the UK today, Monday, make a note of your data usage, probably just before going to bed.

If you have a flight from a UK airport tomorrow, Tuesday, at say 14.00 hours (2 PM) to Amsterdam as an example, make a note of your data usage up to that point, whilst sat on the aircraft, just before switching on flight mode.

Then, when you land in Amsterdam, turn off flight mode, check data usage again (There should be very little difference in data usage  between the time you boarded the aircraft in the UK and get off the aircraft in Amsterdam, due to your phone being in flight mode.)  Then, check data usage just before going to bed again. Finally, deduct the data usage figure whilst sat waiting for take off in the UK from the Amsterdam end of day data usage figure. Not a scientific method by any means, but should give a reasonable indication  of data usage on a day spent travelling between the UK and EU. Will also work if travelling by eurotunnel or ferry, of course.

@Norbert_2077016  On your device (particularly phone) you should find a data log and it should show the amount of data used by each app (certainly applies to an iPhone).

If you reset data figures before going Roaming, then you can see what has been used.
