Welcome to the Smartys Users Forum.
We are customers/Users just like you.
Just so you know, Smarty DO NOT have a customer hotline/phone number. There are only two ways to contact them.
The best point of contact is through Webchat, otherwise it's a case of sending an email.
You can get these details through the help articles created by Smarty.

I don't know what to do
03-05-2024 17:22 PM
@JeetenC_2689690 A network like smarty keeps the prices down by not having to pay for a team of customer service people on phones. Web chat is cheaper and quicker and that reflects in the price you pay.
If a phone line to customer service is important to you, then you willed to go with a more expensive network provider unfortunately.

Thanks. Yeah, I had done that but was waiting for ages. Eventually got a response after around an hour! I guess something they need to work on.

Perhaps with the recent 3G network switch-off, affecting large parts of the Midlands, maybe SMARTY web chat is much busier than 'normal'.

I just don't know what to do
24-05-2024 18:48 PM
That isn’t at all helpful to be honest, posting “I just don’t know what to do”…
As members of this community forum are not, to the best of my knowledge, psychic, you will have to be more effusive about any issue that you want help with.
25-05-2024 10:15 AM
@GarethT_2730825 I often feel the same - particularly when I read a post but the writer has not said what help they were looking for.

Why don't I have service outside my flat N195ts
13-10-2024 13:21 PM
@Patrick_2828759 We are members like you and so do not know the specific answer. however, if you do a Network Status check, it suggests that your local mast is often congested. This may in turn be linked to recent turn off of 3G signal.
Also, are you sure that your phone is compatible now?

27-11-2024 15:09 PM
@MuniraA_1414465 You can do that within your Account Dashboard. It gives you the chance to put in the PAC from previous network: https://smarty.co.uk/dashboard/settings/phone-number

'Digital first' is smarty's way of saying we only care about your cash, we don't care about humans. Smarty is owned by CK Hutchison Holdings Limited, based in Hong Kong, and who also own UK Power Networks, Northern Gas Networks, Northumbrian Water Group, Park 'N Fly Airport Parking and Wales & West Utilities. The company made around £3 billion profit in 2023.

@KT101 I'm not really sure what point you are making here.
Smarty offer a product - a no-frills product - at a reasonable price. If you want that product, you need to accept that there is no customer service agent at the end of a phone line because that costs more to provide.
Pretty much all companies are owned by owners who are in it to make money - it's called business.
I don't believe that they set themselves to be an altruistic organisation. for that, you may want to look at Charities and I don't see any running mobile networks.
Are you suggesting that companies such as EE or Vodafone run for the greater good of mankind?
30-11-2024 19:45 PM
@MSF I'm old enough to remember the first generation of cellular networks in this country, where you would pay a £35 connection fee plus £15-£20 a month, and that monthly fee included nothing - outgoing calls were extra.
These days you can get pretty much unlimited everything for about the same price (in fact for considerably less when you take inflation into account) from a provider like Smarty, and still some folks aren't satisfied 🤦🏻♂️

@SmartyTrousers You may think that......but I couldn't POSSIBLY comment!

My old number has t transferred to my new smarty SIM card and a pac code was given
17-01-2025 18:24 PM
@PennyBa_3136668 Can you tell us what the problem is then? If you gave a PAC code from your old network, then you expect it to move to your new Smarty sim - no?
23-01-2025 16:45 PM

23-01-2025 17:47 PM
@DenisLo_1650491 Order one from the website or buy one in a shop if more convenient.

27-01-2025 17:03 PM
@MAHBOOB_2491697 The thing is that we are customers just like you.
While I understand that you are not happy with the service from Smarty, there isn't anything we can do about it.
If you need a number to call, then you will need to choose one of the more expensive networks that offer it. smarty keep prices down by using web chat plus some email.
