Can you explain why I get a message telling me if I want to keep my telephone number I must take out my sim and then re install ? Thank you

@Jane16 Can't explain that offhand. Have you purchased a Smarty plan within the last 6 months? If not, they expire after 180days of inactivity and you usually receive an email warning in good time.
Really not sure why you would need to remove the sim. Who sent the message?

The message appears at the top of my settings page as a message similar to those saying there is an update to do

@Jane16 Have you recently removed the sim from another iPhone that is still retained in your Apple ID list of devices?

no did the transfer from ee no probs. Only removed sim that was linked to this phone and put in Smarty sim !
