Data sim in car modem while abroad

Has anyone used a. smarty data sim in their car modem while abroad? If so did it work ok and did you have to change any settings in the car?  Thanks

I used a 4g ZTE router in Greece once I sorted the apn in the ZTE app it worked fine full 4g signal hope this helps
