I tried to get a new contract and requested a pac code which I gave to them but the contract didn’t go through I’m now worried that my number will change over
but if the new contract didn’t go thru will that happen

Have you tried to switch TO Smarty from another network OR FROM Smarty to another network ?
As Smarty do not offer long term contracts, I am GUESSING you tried to switch from Smarty TO another network.
As you say that you couldn’t obtain a contract, then it’s highly unlikely that your number will have ported to a non existent contract.
