Update 09:00
Following an issue with our voice and text services yesterday, service has now been restored for the majority of our customers.
If anyone is still having issues, they should restart their device which should reconnect them to our network.
We apologise sincerely for the issues yesterday.

Still can't get voice signal, reset my phone several times. The problem HAS NOT been resolved in the Yorkshire/Lancashire area.
It doesn't help that you CAN'T SPEAKT ANYONE!!

@Colin_499745 The update from this morning mentions that service has been restored for the MAJORITY of customers, but that does not mean all from what you say.
You can web chat with Smarty Support, but they are probably inundated with similar.

@Colin_499745 I don't see how the merger is linked here.
Your 30min + wait indicates that they are busy. You can easily see how many 'keyboard warriors' were complaining loudly (lots of "bleep" words 🙄) in other threads on the Forum and I should imagine that plenty of them and a load of others are onto the web chat.

Just renewed yesterday I have nothing nada viltch,tried everything,and getting sick of it,why is the SIM off? Worked fine before then renew then SIM not working if i have nothing by tomorrow I need the £20 back and I'll go with someone else or get my internet switched on again.sick of this smarty SIM even when it worked it would switch off.

2 new sims purchased 15th June, took over a week to transfer numbers. Now the systems down.

Network up and running here in East Grinstead, some expected over reaction from some customers re. outage, I for one is staying put as Smarty is normally solid, no complaints at all. I was with mothership Three for 13 years before coming here, always been pleased, the grass is not always greener etc. Smarty is a bargain and for such a good price I am not one for complaining as it's fixed.

At your suggestion I have restarted my iPhone but remain unable to make voice calls.
this is more than an inconvenience due to medical issues that I cannot at present attend to for lack of a phone.
please advise.

@SIx Network seems fine now - able to make calls.
Check Network Status for your postcode maybe?

Just taken 2 pay monthly sim only deals 18 June. Took over a week to transfer one number. This is not a good start.

unable to make or receive calls - I received a text to say that I have a voicemail but no missed call in recent calls list - and I am unable to call Voicemail to retrieve anything.... just hangs and then goes to Call Failed screen.
The same thing happened earlier this week for a period of time

As Voicemail involves making a call to a number, I expect that is why you cannot retrieve messages at present.

As you have paid a maximum of £20 for 31 days service, I guess that you would be entitled to 65p as a strict liability.

For one customer 65p, but if 1000000 customets are affected then thats £65000 so i guess thats a bigger strict liabilty that smarty seem to shy away from and just hope it goes away by getting drowned out in comments, so come on smarty, get your hand in your pocket and compensate every customer affected today, so no champagne for the next board meeting.
