Hi,
I’ve been asked by my new GP for a copy of my last bill from my telephone service provider. I can’t see any reference to this in the Smarty app or in the FAQs. Have I missed something?

Hey Nichola
As we are a pre-pay service, intended for personal use, billing is not something we would provide

1. You are not writing directly to Smarty here. We are customers on this forum, just like you.
2. Smarty do not issue invoices/bills. There are details of your payments and usage on your Account Dashboard.
3. Details of how to turn off the Adult Content filter: https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/1066648-parental-restrictions
4. To enter competitions, do you need to send a text to a 5-digit number? This is a shortcake text and you will need to pay for an Out of Plan Add On to your account in order to pay for those. https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/982374-our-add-ons

Are they asking for that as a means of verifying your address?
On your account, you can only see a history of your payments here:
https://smarty.co.uk/dashboard/payments
That unfortunately will not provide evidence of where you live.
Perhaps you can ask the GP if there is some other utility bill that they will accept. A landline telephone bill or elec/gas bill might do the trick, as will Council Tax bills.

apart from the fact people get asked for phone bills as proof of address / would like to have their phone bill in general as its helpful so this makes no sense and is stupid

Hey PhoneNetwork
similarly to a pay as you go we are a pre paid service so would not provide billing in the same way that you would receive from a contracted handset or SIM, this is the nature of the service.
