So, I've got hold of a new SMARTY SIM, added it to a Zyxel NR5103E 5g Router I snaffled off of eBay, allegedly unlocked, and am having problems. Any help welcome.

1. On power up with the SIM in, all icon lights green except the cellular signal which is red (poor signal according to the manual).

2. Firstly, I cannot see the SSID on my MacBook
Air. I tried adding the wifi name and password for the Zyxel but it is telling me the network isn't available.

3. I presume I need the above to connect, to enable me to access the admin page on 192.168.1.1 because I can't access that.

Operator error - am I being a plonker? Could the previous owner have changed the SSID and password and forgotten to tell me? All help appreciated.

Yes. I figured it out in the end - I think the previous owner changed the router wifi settings and didn't reset the router before posting. Hard reset it and it all works now.

Hi,
I am also really struggling with a NR5103E, tried the reset and it didn't seem to work. Internet light is green but no actual internet.
Did you change the APN settings or leave them as auto?
Any hints/suggestions welcome!

Hello,
- When trying to reset the router make sure that you hold the reset button for 30 seconds by this time the router would have turned it self off and back on.
- If the problem still persists then there maybe a problem with the router.

@DavidCo_3439066 Is that definitely the correct address for the router home page?
