So, I've got hold of a new SMARTY SIM, added it to a Zyxel NR5103E 5g Router I snaffled off of eBay, allegedly unlocked, and am having problems. Any help welcome.
1. On power up with the SIM in, all icon lights green except the cellular signal which is red (poor signal according to the manual).
2. Firstly, I cannot see the SSID on my MacBook Air. I tried adding the wifi name and password for the Zyxel but it is telling me the network isn't available.
3. I presume I need the above to connect, to enable me to access the admin page on 192.168.1.1 because I can't access that.
Operator error - am I being a plonker? Could the previous owner have changed the SSID and password and forgotten to tell me? All help appreciated.
