Hello all.
Have a mobile phone contract with Smarty, currently at 30gb per month. I have a new tablet, which I swap out SIM to use.
I am going to be awarded a Laptop from a competition. Am told I need WiFi for a planned course, but could hotspot my phone and use phone data allowance with the Laptop, or I may tether them...whatever that indicates.
5g phone, 4g tablet...if it is of any use
Can anyone elucidate here for me?
TIA

@TT_606016 You should be able to use both your tablet (assuming it can use wi-fi) and your laptop online without removing the SIM from your phone.
Your phone will have a feature called a personal hotspot, or something similar. If you switch that on, your phone will create a wi-fi network which your other devices can then connect to, to share the phone's mobile data connection.
