I only use in motorhome so do I turn off when weeks it’s not in use?

Smarty plans are monthly, so, if you don’t use the service for a month or more at a time, you can pause your plan, which means you wouldn’t be paying for a service that you are not using.
Potential downside is that accounts that are paused for six consecutive months are cancelled. As long as the Smarty SIM is not your main number, this should not be a problem for you, though. You can just buy a new SIM when you need wi-if in your motorhome.

@SharonT_2171235 As @JJP2 rightly says, each Smarty plan lasts one month.
If you leave the unit on, I can see that it may use a small amount of data in “checking in”. If no device is connected then it will not use any for updates etc.
Ultimately, it depends what size plan you normally buy. If you have plenty of data, leaving the unit (I assume you mean a router) on won’t matter - but this is only relevant if you leave your motor home connected to a power supply otherwise you may flatten the battery.
