Network Service issues - Not good enough.

There has been CONSTANT network issues in my area for over the last month. Checking the Network status checker has just shown; "We're fixing an issue in this area at the moment and aim to have things back up-and-running as soon as possible. We're sorry for any disruption this may cause and will add any further updates here."

With no indication of it being fixed. I am rarely able to make phone calls, even with Wi-Fi calling enabled.

This is not good enough, as I have health issues and rely on my phone to make doctor's appointments, of which I have been unable to as the line just never rings out, or I get "Line Busy".

@rj  Unfortunately, we cannot help you directly as we are customers just like you.

You could try raising a Complaint via the website, but you may need to consider moving to another network if it is not resolved for you soon (assuming that it is not a shared mast causing the issue).

Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having.

Network problems in your area shouldn't have any impact on WiFi calling, so if that's not working, I'm wondering whether your device is actually compatible with Smarty's WiFi calling.

Also, getting 'Line Busy' when trying to call your doctor, while a depressing reminder of the state of this country, is not a fault!

You should probably also check if your phone is compatible with Smarty's 4G calling, now that most 3G has been turned off.

Ultimately, if your phone isn't fully compatible with Smarty or no fix for the issues in your area is on the horizon, you may be better off switching to another provider. There are lots of great offers on uSwitch and Money Saving Expert.

@rj  Actually a good point raised by @SmartyTrousers  - if you get 'line busy' then this may be a problem with the doctor's surgery phone system (nowadays usually internet based telephony).

Wifi calling - I assume that you are connecting via broadband - if you cannot make calls then it is worth checking that you do have wifi calling enabled in your settings. I also wonder whether it is also worth getting a replacement sim sent to you to try.
