I had a PAYG with EE several years ago, then I got a company phone and let the PAYG number lapse.
I've tried calling it and it doesn't connect, so I assume it's not been reallocated as yet. EE say they can't help.
Does anyone know if there is a way to specify or buy a specific number when ordering a sim?

@LindaYar_676397 When you activate a sim, it is allocated a random number.
While there are some websites offering "cherished" numbers (just like car reg plates) there is a cost and I'm not sure whether they are tried and tested.
Although you have not been able to connect to the number, it may be that a network has it ready to allocate as a random number.
