@BarryJo_1794827 You haven't said if you have mobile data - I'm assuming that you don't. Once you have set the phone up as suggested by @JJP2 then all should be well.

if my assumption is wrong, and you do have mobile data working, you need to look at the settings for mail and WhatsApp .
