Dialing... I am getting a problem making a phone call.

I'm getting a problem when phoning I get dialing... then nothing, if I dial again sometimes it connects sometimes it just drops out again. when I am unable to dial out other people cannot phone me. I am able to send and receive texts. The problem is intermittent.

Any help appreciated

Has there been any resolution to this problem as I'm having the same thing. The phone shows 4g  or 5g three or four bars when you try to make a call the 4g or 5g drops of still shows the bars but completely silent and the call doesn't connect incoming calls don't come through either they go to voicemail and don't show as missed calls

@LeeCredl_291343  Did you check that your phone is definitely compatible with Smarty VoLTE protocol?

Hi yes the phone is VoLTE capable as I said the problem is intermittent and if I reboot the phone it remove and refit the SIM it cures the problem for a couple of days. Could it be a faulty SIM card?

 

@LeeCredl_291343  Won't do any harm to try a replacement sim.

I have had exactly the same problem for well over a month. Sometime it works fine, but more often the phone is completely silent when trying to make calls, and incoming calls go straight to voicemail (which I canโ€™t listen to!). I always have decent signal.

Me too, but an outgoing call on a second SIM from the same phone (Three PAYG, so same service provider) works perfectly.

@MichaelWh_99770  In addition to the advice from @JodieC , have you noticed whether your phone is showing a good signal when you try to make these calls? If only one or even no bars showing, the chances of connection are probably not great.

It was showing 5 bars. But is intermittent, I have tried from the same place Wednesday and got connected, I tried Thursday and nothing I get dialing... then call ended
