I've put on three posts.I've received some crappy badge. All I want is my phone activated. Nobody seems to be able to do it.So i've wasted money on buying a sim and credit for it, and it's useless network, this is.

Not even having a contact number

Or a direct email address

@BrettJo_3046957 Did you try a web chat with the Support team?

You haven't explained exactly what the problem was, so it's difficult for anyone to help you really.

Much as I understand that you are frustrated, venting here hasn't really taken your problem any further.

Smarty does not have a direct contact number - in common with other MVNO's - as it keeps costs down and that reflects in the monthly plan charges.

If you want to complain, you can certainly do that via email, but again they will not answer instantly as there are not sufficient staff for that.

I did start a web chat recently and had a reply in a fairly short time - depends upon how busy they are at that time of day.

Yes I'm frustrated !!! mainly because i have put 3x posts explaining the issue and the only response is your one saying try a web chat🤣 from that crappy chat bot... yeah did that absolute waste of 30 mins of my time.. if you know something better then surely a link would be better?  I have been trying to get my sim activated  but there's no option to get the one I bought and all I can do is buy credit and have one sent to me, (I only bought the sim yesterday from a shop) and this budget idea is rubbish! So you saying i shouldn't rant on here is wrong because people need to know what sort of issues people have.

@BrettJo_3046957  Have you seen this article?: https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/4539514-activating-a-spare-bonus-sim-or-a-sim-bought-in-a-shop...

Secondly, I only saw your one post made at 15:18 today and responded to it at 15:40.

Thirdly, it is possible to communicate with people on the web chat and not only chat bots - I have done exactly that this week.

Fourthly, as I didn't know exactly what the problem was, how could I send an appropriate link - I have done that now that you have been more specific.

Fifthly, if you want help from people then that is not the way to about getting it. Just remember, I am trying to help voluntarily and it ain't my fault - I don't work for Smarty or have any financial interest.

Hi @BrettJo_3046957
Just to add on to what @MSF has stated....
When you click on the chat scroll down to "Start a conversation" and type "talk to a person" to begin a chat with an adviser. This stops the 'round and round' of answering the questions that doesn't give you an answer.
You need to be patient as the connection to an actual person isn't always instant (can take a while depending on the amount of customers using the live chat at the time) and when you do start a chat make sure you have some time set aside to do it as they will be handling more than one customer query at a time and so it may take a while to get replies and an answer from them.
