0843 numbers- Your call cannot be connected

I keep getting a message saying "your call cannot be connected" when I dial any company with an 0843 number. How do I fix this please?

Those calls are not within your plan and so you need credit to pay for them.

Many companies have changed over to 03 numbers instead - those ARE with your plan and so it is worth trying to replace the 8 with a 3 or check the organisation's website.
