@Meirion_2479784 Just wondering if this phone is compatible with Smarty VoLTE protocol. A Google search seems to suggest that maybe it is not.

Thanks again for replying. It looks increasingly likely that your suggestion is the only solution and that the Smarty list of incompatible devices requires updating.
Is it worth waiting for Smarty to react I wonder?
Thanks for your help.

Hi @Meirion_2479784
Have you checked the coverage and network status for your area?
https://smarty.co.uk/coverage-checker
https://smarty.co.uk/network-status-checker
Can you still make/receive texts and use your data?

Data and text still functional.
Network checker responds with message there may be unusually high traffic in the area....but I have failed to make calls in Brecon town mid Wales also. Other customers would have trouble too wouldn't they,?
I have no found a setting on the phone that stops outgoing calls.
I have contacted Smarty and am in the 28 day reply window they quote it takes to respond.

@Meirion_2479784 Unfortunately, that still doesn't mean that it actually is compatible. It seems to be a model that's a few years old and that set me wondering bout its compatibility.

@Meirion_2479784 If you wait for them to react, you could be waiting a v-e-r-y long time I'm afraid.
In fairness, they do say that their list is not exhaustive.
