Re: No network coverage
LOL, I keep doing that at Threes Tech Mahindra third party Indian call centres, each time I call back though it’s the same incomplete or inaccurate script/s, that’s if the poor quality VOIP routing actually works from U.K. to India, it’s worse than a mobile phone in poor reception area (where you have a choice of using wifi calling that actually works versus Three U.K. VOIP to India!).4.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Smarty FORCED FIRMWARE UPGRADE
WelshPaul It does so, the Three network doesn’t differentiate between Three & Smarty as a MVNO (?? 🤪) therefor Three will force a router update through either (which it shouldn’t) Three official support has confirmed this but said you have to raise the matter with Smarty. A absolute fail by Smarty to not disable automatically updating Three devices, it legally isn’t authorised to do such to a consumers non Smarty devices.7.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Sri Lanka?
Nope, Tesco International Calling app can use your Smarty number when registered and you can send free texts internationally using your Smarty number when you have topped up (£3 minimum top up at a Tesco checkout, £5/10/20 online/app). Incoming texts will go to your usual message inbox as the Tesco Calling app sends texts with your (Smarty) registered number. It’s a great work around roaming for any network, data off and use Tesco app texting via wifi or a local sim hotspotting on another phone MiFi, or put your Smarty sim in a basic 3/4G phone and put a SL sim in your regular mobile.1.8KViews0likes0Comments- 7.4KViews0likes1Comment
Smarty FORCED FIRMWARE UPGRADE
So I put my Smarty sim in my 5G MC801A router, and it’s force installed Three firmware, locking me out of features and now I can’t keep 5G signal on a full 5G signal on any other network as the router keeps forcing me to 4G. Even selecting 5G by forcing it is a cumbersome task. How do you plan to resolve this? A MVNO should not be force installing firmware on behalf of its Mobile Network Operator on any customers devices, especially given Smarty does not provide ANY devices to customers. To say I’m peeved off is an understatement. Can you explain why this has happened & how you are going to resolve it Smarty…7.5KViews0likes7Comments
