Hi - my Smarty account is inactive/closed and I want to reactivate it. It seems that this is possible - I just need to choose a plan is what the portal is suggesting when I log in.
However I need to first confirm that the SIM card I have in front of me is the SIM card for the account (it could be my wife/sons unused accounts). Is there any way that somebody in SMARTY can validate for me that the IMEI on the SIM card is actually the SIM card attached to my account? I appreciate I may need to pass some security checks which is fine but can any one guide how I can navigate this conundrum please?
Cheers

Hi @DeanDyso_651609 once your plan has been terminated (after 220 days of inactivity) the SIM you had previously along with the number attached gets terminated. You can set up a new plan with the same log in details, but it will be a brand new plan with a new SIM and phone number.
When you choose the plan you want from your dashboard and enter your details, you will be sent a new SIM with a randomly allocated number. The SIM you have from the now inactive plan is terminated so can no longer be used.

@DeanDyso_651609 Is it possibly more than 220 days since you had a plan on that sim? If so, it will likely have been deactivated and the number recycled. (In such a case, it will probably be easier to start with a new sim)
If you need to speak with Smarty, then you will need to web chat with Smarty Support and put your issue to them.

@MSF Thanks - it is less than 220 days for sure.
Sorry to be a newbie, how do I invoke Smarty Support webchat - I cant see it anywhere 😳

@DeanDyso_651609 There is a 'Contact us' link at the bottom of this forum page.

Sorry - please edit the above - I am referring to the SIM card ID (also known as ICCID) printed on the SIM card - not IMEI (my bad).
