Poor Network Status - When will it be fixed?

When I query the network status for my post code I get this message...

"We’re fixing an issue with our network in this area

We’re sorry for any disruption you experience. Our engineers are working on masts nearby, which means the rest of our network is handling more traffic than usual..... ".

This has been going on for quite some time. How can I find out how much longer it will go on before it's fixed? As it is, I get very poor (slow) data and often the page doesn't load.  It's okay before 8 am and other off peak times.

Anyway, I am now looking at GiffGaff (I think they're a different  network to O3?) but am willing to stick it out with SMARTY if the network will be back up to speed soon. Any info would be useful.

As forum members, we don't have information directly from the company.

It is always worth raising your concerns via a web chat with the Support Team. 

I'm assuming that you have done the usual things like trying the sim in another device etc.

Giffgaff is on another network - O2.
