Hi folks, I got a SIM from the store, inserted it, downloaded the app and made an account/bought a plan figuring this process would be activating the SIM along the way, but clearly not and now I have to wait 2 days for my SIM to arrive, is there any way of using the SIM I have rather than waiting for the new one to arrive?

What did they advise in the store where you purchased the SMARTY SIM cards @JT?

You might be able to add the existing store bought SIM to a group plan, and use it that way. 

You can make a group from your online dashboard at https://smarty.co.uk/dashboard/. There should be an add SIM option once you've got your group setup.

They didn't advise anything it was just from the post office, I was just hoping to be using my new SIM today rather than waiting, I'll take a look at the group thing, thanks Chalky

If you actually received a sim, then it should have been possible to activate it when you paid your money for a Smarty plan. Not sure why you will need to wait for a sim to arrive in the post (If and when it does arrive, you can keep it to give to a friend etc, so no harm done).

If you are uncertain, why not web chat with Support Team so that they can look at your account and advise what has happened?

Hey  JT,

For a sim you have gotten from a store you would need to activate this on the web page, in the top right hand side there will be a yellow button that says "activate" .

if you purchased in store ie Tesco Asda go to main page click Top Right corner activate  if sim purchased on line delivered in post you need to log into account and Activate
