Loss of signal every few minutes

I've been using a smarty unlimited data sim in a 4G mifi for about 1.5 years,  maybe longer. This was mostly fine until a week or so ago. I was able to stream video,  get work done,  etc pretty reliably. Not sure if it's related,  but after some high winds locally I started losing signal every few minutes. When I do get signal it's often painfully slow. Opening a pc image is like the old dial up days of watching it appear line by line. I ordered a replacement sim, no improvement. I bought a 5G mifi. It shows variable 4G/5G signal but it's still just as unreliable. Downdetector shows no issues in my area. Smarty's post code checker claims no issues. This happens on all my devices. My phone is on a different network,  but I usually connect it to the mifi when home. I have had to resort to tethering from the phone on the other network despite paying for unlimited data with Smarty. I can't find any means of talking to a human being at Smarty to get any help with this. Any advice (apart from the obvious that it's time for a new provider) would be appreciated. Thanks 😊

Hi @TezzaBee

Thank you for reaching out to our SMARTY community forum!

I am sorry to hear about the recent changes in your network connection.

It is common that bad weather can indeed affect your connectivity as the wind speeds may have damaged the mast in your area, causing issues with your service.

Please refer to our network status checker as this will display any outages in your area:

Hello, I think I experience similar issue, I just complete loose connection about 10-15 times a day. Haven’t had any problems until few weeks ago maybe. I have managed to report it but it is painful, as you don’t really get to talk to people. I use smarty for mobile router and 3 phone sims, that all lost signal simultaneously, but I still had to go through fault finding like there would be something wrong with my device. After the first go I had a lot better experience and they recorded my problem and raised a ticket. It’s still not fixed though. I’m in Hastings East Sussex.
