Can somebody explain what is going to happen when we go full fibre? From what I can work out, the cost for us pensioners is going to increase quite a lot/
At the moment I rely on our landline because we do not get a signal on the side of the village I live, so rely on it. When I try and use the wifi calling system, I can hear the person calling, but they cannot hear me.
If the mobile is the only phone I will be able to use, it is going to wear out the phone quicker, so more charging and eventual battery replacement or new phone if the battery cannot be changed. A cheap battery will not last, so an original expensive battery will have to be fitted. Then it is a matter of trying to find a genuine battery and fitter, not a high street 'used phone shop'.
I can already see the prices rising quickly from the quoted prices now. I, or we will be again paying more for a poor service.
The other option I have seen is to take out another contract with a company supplying, VOIP phones. Yet mor cost.
Can anyone tell me whether what I am presuming, will be the case?

The first thing to do is find out if your current broadband provider is going to offer a digital voice product.
If not, you could look at other providers that do, for example Zen Internet
