I am travelling to Turkey soon and I need to be able to ensure I can send and recieve texts and phone calls. Which add-on will I need? EU or International?

Hello @Rebecca_2043123 If you take a look at the Price Guide: https://cdn.smarty.co.uk/files/SMARTY-Price-Guide.pdf on p14 and then p17 onwards it explains the position.
Effectively, you will be on pay as you go at the rate appropriate for Turkey

Sound advice from @MSF as always.
Turkey is not a member of the EU, so you will definitely need an international add on.
As long as you have data, you can also send / receive texts and also make / take calls through Whatsapp, Telegram and Signal, even video calls if you so wish.

Yes, you will need an add on for Turkey.
Smarty allow you to use up to 12 GB of data within EU countries, but, as Turkey is not a member of the EU, you will need an add on.
You will need the โinternational calls, texts and data add onโ available within the Smarty app

@SusanWi_1475198 Turkey is not in the Eu and therefore you would need to pay for all usage.
If you look at the Price guide: https://cdn.smarty.co.uk/files/SMARTY-Price-Guide.pdf you will see that Turkey is in Band 1 and data therefore costs 10p per Megabyte - using WhatsApp would cost quite a bit at that rate!
If you do go ahead, you would need to put money onto your account as an 'Out of plan add on' and you can do that from your account dashboard.
You would probably be better off seeing if you can find a decent wifi place while in Turkey (hotel, cafe?). If you are there for a while a local sim may do the job better.
