@Andrewj_2552345 We are forum members like you and do not work for Smarty.
I'm guessing that it is a security measure if it detects that you are not in the UK. Sounds like a good thing to me that they are checking to try and protect you.

Hmm i see
I am obviously using a dual sim phone
As long as any calls to my UK numbers are passed through without hassle as I need to be seen as in UK
Cheers

@Andrewj_2552345 Why 'obviously' using a dual sim phone?
The app works on data - I think it knows that you are not in the UK and therefore asks you to log in.
Calls - if you are on a network that talks to Smarty, then calls gt through. I do wonder if callers may hear a different tone when you are outside the UK and that may be a giveaway.

Re dual sim, sorry yes I live in Thailand and on some occasions maybe only a few times a year I need to make and receive
calls from a UK number to show powers that be a UK presence so I use the "out of app " whatever...
Just seemed strange that the app kept asking me to sign yes possibly it doesn't Thai internet data
Had a call from UK today it worked to no issues there
Does not seem much rlse to say maybe it's just an app quirk I will have to live with

@Andrewj_2552345 Answering a call from 'powers that be' does not show a UK presence - I'm sure that they are well aware of mobile roaming!
There are many apps and websites that will not communicate at all if you are outside the UK and they detect it e.g. National Lottery, BBC iPlayer.

The life of a digital nomad...
You could try using a VPN connected to a UK server, that may solve your little issue, but of course, no guarantees

I expect itโs a new security feature as I too have to sign in every time I access the app. I just click on my avatar & am signed in automatically though. Iโm still in the UK.
Or is your problem different in that youโre asked for username & password?

Is there any file or app cleaner on the phone which may be deleting cookies or files?
