As a new customer I put my SIM into my phone and I cannot make calls or receive them.

this is what my iPhone states is the reason why. Please can you help as I need to make several urgent calls? 

If you set up a new eSIM or insert a new SIM card into your iPhone or iPad, you may need to download the network provider settings for your new network provider.
