0345 numbers are included in plans, so you didn’t need to buy an add on. See below

I have just dialled the “railcard” helpline, which is an 0345 number without any issue.

Are you sure you are dialling correctly ?

Which company are you trying to call, which number ? Maybe their lives are down ?

@JJP2RidesAgain  Just by way of further info on this, I tried an 0344 number the other day and was denied access. The number was definitely correct as I checked a couple of different sources - it was an insurance company. Managed to email in the end and so did not pursue it further.

That’s odd - I wonder if 0344 and 0345 numbers are treated differently.

@JJP2RidesAgain  Just checked OFCOM and they should be treated as any other 01, 02 or 03 number. Confused now and may research it a bit more if I get fed up watching this layer of paint drying!!🤣

UPDATE:

Just tried the same 0344 number again and it connected !! I suspect that it must have been out of service the other day - annoying!
