eSIM is here 🎉
You’ve been asking, and we’ve been listening. We’re excited to let you know that eSIM is now available for existing SMARTY customers🙌 We’re starting things off with a soft launch, so right now you’ll only see the option if you’re an existing customer and you go through the SIM replacement journey. That means if your phone supports eSIM and you want to switch from your physical SIM, you’re good to go. Wait, what’s an eSIM? An eSIM (which stands for embedded SIM) is a small chip that’s built directly into your phone or device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, your mobile plan can be downloaded straight onto the eSIM. Think of it like streaming a song instead of popping in a CD, it’s all digital, and it’s all seamless. How to make the switch Just log into your SMARTY account, head to Account settings > Manage plan > Replace SIM, and choose to replace your current SIM with an eSIM. Follow the remaining steps and you’ll be up and running in no time. We’re rolling this out carefully to keep things smooth, but more eSIM goodness is on the way 👀 Need more information or support on eSIM? Check out our Help and FAQ page for the most common FAQs. Thanks for sticking with us and your feedback helped make this one happen 💚9.2KViews9likes38CommentsHave you ever spotted a mobile scam? Or nearly fallen for one? Let’s talk about it!

Thank you everyone for all the great suggestions! For anyone interested, we've put together an article over at the SMARTY blog on the Best Budgeting Apps in the UK including the apps recommended in this discussion 💸 Sounds like it's time for me to check out Monzo and make the most out of their saving 'pots' 😆7.8KViews4likes2Comments[Open Discussion] What apps do you use for budgeting? Smarter solution needed!
It's my favourite time of the month coming up - payday! 😄 💸 For years, I've been using spreadsheets to manage my finances. Nothing too fancy, just a broad overview of monthly spending and savings. No meticulous categorisation that breaks down every single latte and grocery shop, just the basics. But lately, I've been wondering if there's a quicker and less manual way... In the past I have experimented with free budgeting apps, but none of the features or categories quite fit the bill. And I'm still unsure about sharing my account details through open banking. So I gave up and created my own spreadsheet. It worked, but it's time-consuming, especially with multiple investment, savings and current accounts to track. I'd love to know: Have you found a smarter, simpler, more efficient way to manage your finances? Do you use budgeting apps with open banking - and do you trust it with your financial data? Are there any budgeting apps worth paying for? And for those with multiple accounts, how do you keep everything organised without pulling your hair out?!8.2KViews4likes8Comments[Open Discussion] What are your predictions for Apple's latest iPhone?
It’s already come round to that time of the year when the new iPhone is expected to launch in September. 📱 As always the rumours suggest that it will have a bigger display, a faster processor, a better camera and a longer battery life. Do you think Apple will announce new radical features? Or will we see only small improvements on the iPhone 14 models? 🤔 Being the owner of far too many tech devices, one thing on my wish list is a USB-C charging port instead of the Lightning port, so that I can finally carry just one cable with me! What are your most wanted features in the new iPhone? Share your thoughts in the comments below! 😄7.6KViews5likes10Comments
