I have an EE Buzzard portable WiFi modem which I use when travelling / sailing. It connect via satellite and creates a local wifi which I use with my iPAD, laptop and phone. I usually buy an EE PAYG SIM card lasting 30 days with limited data that I can add to if necessary.
Could I get a data only SIM from Smarty that would work in it? Would it be time-limited or just expire when I used whatever size data SIM I bought

@TomTaus_2129343 If your modem is locked to EE, then it certainly won't work.
If it is not locked, then a Smarty sim should be fine - subject to a decent signal in the area where you are travelling. Details of data only plans are on the web site. All plans last a month and a sim is deactivated if you do not use it for a total of 220 days (after 180 days you get a warning email)

@Steve_2871701 You would need to ask EE about that - or a private phone shop maybe.
