Hello Community

I have been using SMARTY for Internet  for some years with no problems of any sort ever....  in London location...  I just got new laptop and tried to connect on it with my normal huawey router and SMARTY SIM.... I went through routine steps to connect to the THREE provider using my smarty SIM password as they require..... however each time (and I tried countless times) I got message "unable to connect" ---

Anyone knows how to sort out this issue????? my old laptop is out of use/need some repairs.... and I have urgent paper work to prepare asap...    I would be ever so grateful for help with this dilemma - many thanks in advance

@JadaPie_1713677 Does the laptop see the network run on the Huawei?

Can you also try the sim in another device just to check that all is OK - can you also perform a Network Status check to look for any local mast issue?

I have been using this smarty SIM with Huawei on my laptop for approx. 3 years with no problems of any sort - the new laptop requires connection to Internet to do the set up (to start!!!!) and only show WI-FI networks available in my location when my Huawei+SIM  is Ethernet2.....  I tried to find solution using      aka.ms/networksetup but they only provide advice for WI-FI - in result I cant start the new laptop with what I used so far on my Lenovo (the new one is ASUS) and  to be honest I didn't expect request to use WI-FI only...... in order to start the laptop working (set-up) - I my time I used quite a few computers and never came across such type of difficulty..... finding impossible to activate, get starting the device....

@JadaPie_1713677 Perhaps I'm being dumb here....but I never let that stop me.....

When you connect via ethernet cable, can you see the wifi network and then change the connection over to it?

What do Asus say about this?

Sounds like a setting issue somewhere because you know that the Smarty sim is fine.

Are you able to connect other devices to the internet via the router e.g. another phone?
