I'm travelling to New Zealand. I won't be needing my phone for calls or texts. But I will want to use WiFi, both in New Zealand and the airport WiFi at Doha,Qatar on the way there and back. Do I need to change my settings or pay any extra to do this and if I do will I get roaming charges?
Thanks for any help with this.

Mobile networks don't usually provide a Wi-Fi service.
You should be able to use free Wi-Fi anywhere without changing your settings.
You won't be able to use a paid for Wi-Fi service unless you pre-pay, so easy enough to avoid being charged.
You won't be charged for roaming, because you cannot roam outside the EU unless you get an add-on for your SMARTY account @MrsHappy23.

New Zealand's a wonderful place - shame it's so far away.
