Hi All,
This week I've received a handful of calls from random people saying they've missed a call from me and they've hit call back. Is this a fault or potentially something more sinister? Could someone be sending out the wrong CLI?
I've answered the calls and assured the callers it wasn't me. Has this happened to anyone else? and is it something I should report to Smarty? if so, how do I go about doing that?
Thanks,
Phil

Hi @PhilSlu_3076576
It sounds like a scammer has spoofed your number.
Your best bet is to talk to an advisor via web chat.
https://smarty.co.uk/contact
(type "talk to a person" in the dialogue box to begin a chat with an actual adviser)
The only option you may have is to change your phone number, and this may fix the problem in the short term, but would not guarantee that it wouldn't happen again in the future. It may also be the case that your number will not be used again, by the scammers, after a certain period of time and so, if you want to keep your number, it may be worth just waiting it out. You could also change your voicemail message so that it explains the situation and then you don't have to keep answering your phone and the caller will also be advised of the circumstances.
You should also report this:-

@PhilSlu_3076576 It has never happened to me, but we have occasionally seen a post like this on this forum before.
If it happened to me, I would be reporting it to Smarty via web chat - see 'Contact us' at bottom of this page.
