Sim not working in new phone

Hello good evening. I have just installed my SMARTY Sim in my new iPhone. I am still using my old iPhone with my Vodafone Sim. I don’t understand why my SMARTY Sim isn’t live on the  three network in my new phone? Albeit I have asked to port my number across is this why my 3 sim isn’t live  ? Thanks in advance.

New SIM cards from SMARTY need to be activated before you can use them @PaulFar_1859400.

The activation procedure is explained at https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/4227220-activating-my-sim.

If your Vodafone SIM is still working in your old iPhone, then your number hasn't been switched to SMARTY yet. When did you give SMARTY your PAC @PaulFar_1859400

You haven't given us a timeline for the process.

If the old sim (with your number) is still working, then the porting over to Smarty has not yet happened.

Did you activate the new Smarty sim first as suggested by @Chalkychap ?
