I manage a group with myself and 2 other family members. One person in the group had their number closed due to them being abroad for a long period of time. I would like to reinstate that number within the group as they are now back living in the UK permanently. Is this possible and get that same number back?

@PaulHawth_40242 If a sim is unused for 180 days then the account holder is sent an warning email that there sim will be deactivated after a further 40 days of inactivity.
So, if this person has been away for more than 220 days, the sim will have been deactivated and the number recycled after some time (I think it may be a further 6 months).
If you can look at the Account Dashboard for this person, you may see if it still gives the mobile number. If so, it may be possible to simply purchase a plan and start again. Another test would be to call the number and see if the person's phone rings.
For absolute certainty, it may be worth having a web chat with Smarty Support so that they can check the situation for you.
