I get many daily requests to reinsert the SIM - Am i doing something wrong?

@DavidRo_2829710 Requests from whom? There should be no need to re-insert a sim if it is working and if there is nothing wrong with the phone.

Settings on phone comes up with the request

Have just had it again - phone works for imessagses and FaceTime OK - recently changed to Smarty from Virgin / O2 so never had an issue / messages before.  annoying!

Hi, I’ve recently joined Smarty from O2 and brought my original number with me which ported successfully. I’m getting messages to tell me to reinsert my Sim to keep using my number with iMessage & Facetime……any ideas what’s happening?

@SpikeyC  When you activated the Smrty sim, it was allocated a random mobile number and the phone is probably 'remembering' it.

Log out of FaceTime and iMessage and then log back in again - hopefully all should be well. also check in Settings to see that correct number showing or else change it manually.
