I'm in Singapore and no data available. I have purchased out of plan add ons, and yes before you ask i have changed all the settings, manually selected all networks etc. I travel here frequently and data with smarty has NEVER worked despite doing everything i need to set up international roaming. Please help SMARTY.

@GregBro_1145413 Smarty do not answer these posts directly (The moderators do appear and will normally signpost you to Smarty Support Team via web chat).
Does your add on showing your account? Data roaming in Singapore is very expensive at 10p per megabyte and so would use up your credit quite quickly I think. You say it has never worked - does that mean that you returned to the Uk with the add on intact?
Have you contacted smarty before about this issue and, if so, whatvwas their response?
Finally, have you considered purchasing an Esim (assuming that your phone will accept it)? I think that data would be a lot cheaper As an example, Airalo charge £4 for 1Gb over 7 days i.e. 1024Mb, Roamless would charge USD8.95 for a Gb with no time limit. There are also other suppliers available - also a local sim may work for you if you go often.

I have the same problem. I have used my SMARTY sim here for 18 months (I live here and I have a dual sim) and never had a problem. Suddenly ie yesterday it stopped working. Ive tried all the usually tricks but to no avail. I think the only solution is to swap provider whilst I’m in the UK which fortunately is this week.

@LisaPea_2247557 Have they informed you after 180 days that your sim will deactivate if you don't buy a plan after a further 40 days?

I’m on a monthly plan as I often go back to the UK and I topped up my add on recently

@LisaPea_2247557 You say that you have never had a problem and that your service suddenly stopped yesterday. Could it not be a local problem with the Singapore network?
Why would you change UK network based upon an isolated incident?

Hey @LisaPea_2247557
You can't use a SMARTY SIM permanently outside the UK. Generally, our SIMs are meant for use for up to 60 consecutive days. If you exceed that time, there's a chance your services might be suspended.
If you've found yourself using it for more than 60 consecutive days, our automated system may have missed that initially, but your services could be suspended now for that reason.
It would be great if you could reach out to our team so we can take a look at your account:

That wasn’t the case. I’d been out of the UK for 21 days. I’m now back in the UK and my SIM works absolutely fine. The same thing happened to my son who is also in smarty when he spent 2 weeks in Singapore and Japan.

Not a local network issue as my Singapore sim is on the same network as my smarty sim used and no issues with that.

@LisaPea_2247557 I believe that the local Singapore sim will receive preference if masts are busy though.

@LisaPea_2247557 I should also add that you can bring this to the attention of Smarty via a web chat with Smarty Support Team.

But I’ve never had this problem before. I’ve tried changing to the other networks as they all equally worked well before but none works now.

I can’t get onto the chat team. Says they’re not available. I’ll try again tomorrow with a vpn in case that’s stopping me getting through to them.

@LisaPea_2247557 You may be able to email instead. I just checked the web chat and they did not say they were unavailable.

Did you ever get this fixed I’ve been having the same problem since last week.
15-02-2025 12:59 PM
My sim won’t connect either since middle of last week, I am using a local sim and it’s fine but I need sms to access some of my accounts.

Same with mine since the 9th. I’ve been on chats and emails with Smarty support and no one has any idea why. To me, it seems like the partner networks in Singapore are refusing to connect to Smarty/Three as it constantly shows “No Service” even if you manually select a network. I’ll update this post if support find any other solutions.
