My friend ported over his number but it’s not showing smarty on the phone can’t make calls , could it be the SIM card is faulty ?

@BarryDo_2763499 What does the account dashboard show for that sim? Is the sim showing as activated (but with a randomly allocated number before porting)? Is there an active Smarty plan showing?
If porting was requested, it does not take place over weekends and so could be up to 5.30pm on a working day. What did the confirming email say?
Phone will also benefit by being turned off and then back on to help it register to the network.

The phone has been switched off and back on again….still not working.
my husband took the phone into a phone shop and they tried another SIM card in his phone and it worked fine.
The shop assistant said we need a new SIM card.

@LisaJoh_2613833 Ok, so you have come into a thread that's a few months old.
If your problem is identical, you can order a replacement sim via your Account Dashboard and it will simply need to be activated when it arrives, but will have the same number and Smarty plan on it. Your account may be temporarily suspended for your own security until the new sim is activated.
