My mum passed away. I was paying £8 month for her plan. I have cancelled the payment plan and submitted death certificate etc. A puk code was requested to transfer her smarty number to another sim. I now do not want to do this instead I want to keep her smarty sim and number in her phone but use as pay as you go with random top ups..can I do this? I understand I have to send a text or make a call every month to keep her number active.

@Shameem_1879009 Sorry to hear your bad news.
You can keep the sim and its number. You do not need to have a regular plan. If you do not renew any plan, then you will receive an email after 180 days warning that you have another 40 days until the sim is deactivated.
The PUK code you requested would not be for moving the number - that is to unlock a sim where the password has been input wrongly a number of times.
If you did order a PAC code and did not use it, it would simply expire after 30 days so no problem there.
