Cannot use data in Germany

Have been trying to use data in Germany without luck changed apn to mob.asm.net doesn't work.

 

Any other ideas as a real pain.

Double check that you have changed the APN in your phone to โ€œmob.asm.netโ€ then do a manual network selection, which may help.

What is your location ? Major city or rural location ?

@CarmelEy_879907 Manual network selection and try each in turn, as @JJP2RidesAgain says.

Also make sure you have not already roamed using 12Gb of data or more than 60 days because that is the limit.

She has over 20gb left of her allowance so that isn't a problem

@CarmelEy_879907 That's not correct I'm afraid. When EU Roaming, you are limited to 12Gb data. If you want more, then you need to buy an EU Data Roaming Pass for either 1 day or 3 days - see Price Guide for details.

Ok I mean she has 20gb from her overall allowance so certainly has 12gb to be able to use if she could connect.

@CarmelEy_879907 So, have you checked the APN is set to mob.asm.net as previously suggested? Have you tried Manual Network selection as previously suggested?

If there is no solution, you will need to have a web chat with Smarty Support so that they can check the account. We mere mortal members cannot do that.

I'm having the same issue, plenty of data, and even created a new APN but it won't allow me to switch, never had an issue before. Hassle free mobile, I've wasted 2 hours of my holiday and not been able to use translation app

I have the same issue and it won't allow me to change the 3 mobile to the new APN so I created a new one. That then won't allow me to switch. I changed to Smarty for no hassle mobile and this is the first time with any operator I'm having this issue.

@StevenC_2855427 Have you tried manual search for networks rather than automatic?

Yes, O2 de is the only one available to me. I can access WiFi but not Roam. The APH won't allow me to alter or change from 3 mobile on my Blackview phone.

I'd have thought it would auto connect, it's sort of the main reason I switched from EE to yourselves.

@StevenC_2855427  When you say 'yourselves", we are not smarty employees - just Community members like you.

There is no reason to change the APN if it says mob.asm.net - the APN for MMS does indeed say three.co.uk on my phone but everything works fine when roaming.

You can access wifi - surely that is a wifi network that you are joining up to and not the same as mobile data.

Seems odd that there is only one network available where you are though.
