Calling with no WiFi

Sorry if this is a daft question - the sim my daughter currently has only lets her text and call when she has WiFi but I need her to be able to ring at all times. What plans are best for this that’s cheap?

@Alexandr_791339 This may be because there is no available mobile signal where she is and so the sim reverts to using available wifi to make the call.

Have you checked the phone settings? It may be set that way.
Try this:- Android phone
Open Settings and tap on 'Network & internet,' then locate and tap on the 'Calls & SMS' option. Next, toggle the switch next to the 'Wi-Fi Calling' option to disable it.

iphone

1. From your iPhone's home screen, tap Settings.
2. Tap Phone.
3. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
4. Move the Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone switch to the off position to disable Wi-Fi calling.

If it is already off then is the phone connected to 4G?
Try this:-  Android phone

1. Open “Settings”
2. Tap on “More”
3. Tap on “Mobile network”
4. Tap on “Preferred network type”
5. Choose “4G/3G/2G (auto)”

iphone

1. From the home screen tap Settings.
2. Tap Mobile Data.
3. Tap Mobile Data Options.
4. Tap Voice & Data.
5. To enable 4G connection, tap 4G. 

ALL plans are set up for calls and texts through 4G/5G (3G is being discontinued) and wifi calling is only an option through the mobile phone settings.
